Job Description: Human Resources Assistant (Recruiter & Position Classification Advisor)
The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait City is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant. This critical role involves providing support in recruitment and position classification activities while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Support:
- Oversee recruitment, including job postings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and extending job offers.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities and ensure adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) standards.
- Position Classification:
- Advise on and implement position classification systems in alignment with U.S. Department of State guidelines.
- Analyze and classify positions based on job duties, organizational structure, and required qualifications.
- Prepare and maintain position descriptions and organizational charts.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist with onboarding new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and orientation.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and external candidates regarding HR policies, recruitment status, and position classifications.
- Manage confidential HR documentation and maintain accurate employee records.
- Compliance & Best Practices:
- Ensure that recruitment and classification activities comply with local labor laws, U.S. Embassy policies, and Department of State standards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend strategies for enhanced HR efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least two years of professional experience in recruitment, HR operations, or position classification.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, recruitment strategies, and job classification standards.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software applications.
