Job Description:
The Kuwait DBS Bilingual School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Music Teacher for the academic year 2025-2026. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a commitment to fostering a love for music among students. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, encouraging student creativity, and organizing extracurricular music-related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement an engaging music curriculum aligned with the school’s academic standards.
• Teach music theory, vocal and instrumental music, and music appreciation to middle school students.
• Design and deliver interactive and dynamic music lessons that cater to students’ diverse learning styles.
• Develop students’ skills in rhythm, melody, harmony, and music composition.
• Organize and supervise music-related extracurricular activities, such as school choirs, bands, and music clubs.
• Prepare students for school performances, concerts, and competitions.
• Encourage creativity and self-expression through musical exploration and performance.
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment using effective behavior management strategies.
• Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing feedback to support their musical development.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to support student growth and the school’s overall mission.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and methodologies in music education.
• Ensure that all classroom instruments and resources are well-maintained and effectively utilized.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field.
• A valid teaching certification or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in teaching both vocal and instrumental music.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize and lead musical performances and school events.
• Familiarity with integrating technology into music instruction is a plus.
• Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school environment is preferred.
